Science and research
The scientific-research activity of the department corresponds to the professional profiling of study programs. It focuses mainly on solving technical, technological, organizational, economic and marketing problems in companies in the field of postal services and electronic communications.
Theoretical and experimental research is focused primarily on solving the following problems:
- communication policy and identifying the socially optimal level of communication systems,
- efficiency and quality in connections,
- demand and supply interactions in mail and electronic communications,
- diagnosing the business environment in communications, developing appropriate diagnostic methods in communications companies and determining effective therapies in these companies,
- Polish-Slovak-Czech cross-border cooperation,
- quality management in services.
The results of solving research tasks are:
- presented in publishing activities, at scientific conferences and various events of scientific and professional nature at home and abroad,
- used as base materials, resp. explanatory memoranda for central state administration bodies and for international organizations,
- applied in companies in the field of mail and electronic communications in the form of applications in technological processes, in methodological guidelines and aids,
- applied in teaching.
Cooperation with companies in the post and electronic communications sector, as well as with universities and liaison organizations abroad, contributes to the improvement of scientific research activities.
Conferences
Company diagnostics, controlling and logistics
The aim of the conference is the mutual exchange of scientific information and conclusions on the methodology of business diagnostics, finding optimal solutions in case of negative trends in the company, as well as establishing and deepening contacts with domestic and foreign educational and research institutions.
Development of the Beskydy Euroregion
The aim of the conference is to learn about and diagnose socio-economic conditions, opportunities, activities of local governments and the use of European funds to support and develop the territory of the Euroregion.
POSTPOINT
The international meeting of representatives of postal administrations, pedagogical and scientific staff of universities is focused on various areas of the postal sector and the development of cooperation with leading domestic and foreign institutions.
MARVI
The meeting of teachers and researchers from universities and educational institutions, as well as representatives of advertising agencies aims at mutual exchange of scientific information and conclusions in the field of marketing of educational institutions, as well as establishing and deepening contacts with domestic and foreign educational and research institutions.
